Job summary

Jacobs in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support our EPCM projects on-site. You will manage project information, coordinate documentation, and help ensure projects are on time, on budget, and of high quality.

The role collaborates with the Project Manager, analyzes costs, reviews shop drawings, oversees procurement, and mentors junior staff while promoting a collaborative team environment. Base salary ranges from $69,500 to $95,500 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with a general contractor, construction manager, or large trade contractor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of project controls, cost tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in change management and cost reporting.
• Contribute to cost tracking, pay applications, and reporting.
• Coordinate and expedite material procurement to maintain schedules.
• Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with contract documents.
• Organize and disseminate project documentation across stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Promote customer-centric approaches and effective stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrate understanding of various market sectors and delivery methods.
