Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer to profitably manage electrical/tech construction projects in Port Washington, WI. You will oversee manpower, material, and financial aspects under leadership approval to ensure successful data center project delivery.

You will coordinate schedules, manage change proposals, and communicate with stakeholders to meet timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of project experience in mechanical or electrical construction.
• Strong people management skills.
• Understanding of accounting and financial management.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and purchase costs.
• Experience with low voltage systems and technology.
• Excellent communication and positive interaction skills.
• Systemic organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and quality control of projects.
• Direct team to establish budgets or cost estimates.
• Delegate tasks to the Project Coordinator.
• Manage labor volume for field resources and identify resource types.
• Establish and maintain project documentation with timely updates.
• Draft and manage contract change proposals and scope changes.
• Communicate with field workers, owners, GCs, or design professionals to resolve issues.
• Submit data for customer approval and coordinate installation.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, track progress.
• Coordinate material delivery to construction sites.
• Manage project financials, including billing, with Accounting.
• Conduct project close-out and provide improvement recommendations.
• Develop and maintain business relationships crucial to company success.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop leads into project opportunities.
• Acquire resources and coordinate team members and subcontractors to deliver projects.
• Apply WBS, JPAC, and SIS methodologies.
• Manipulate and extract data from project planning/tracking software.
• Learn and apply Agile Construction principles and estimation.
