Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager for a 6-month contract in Abilene, TX. You will oversee data center construction operations, safety programs, and large field teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in data center or large-scale cabling projects, strong leadership, and proficiency with scheduling tools. This role is open to skilled contractors with W-2 eligibility.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of supervisory experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, fiber, or data center construction.
• Experience managing large field teams (100+ personnel).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety practices, commissioning, quality control, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, construction management software, and schedule interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Be comfortable with managing data center construction operations, including scheduling, labor planning, material coordination, and daily field activities.
• Be comfortable with leading jobsite safety, incident investigations, compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Be comfortable with overseeing structured cabling, fiber installations, testing, commissioning, and compliance with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NEBS standards.
• Be comfortable with leading, mentoring, and developing large field teams (100+), including hiring, training, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Be comfortable with serving as the primary client liaison, attending meetings, resolving field issues, and ensuring successful project execution.
