Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the execution of large-scale data center construction projects across the United States. You will manage on-site construction, equipment deployment, commissioning, and site services, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, with extensive travel and deep knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of construction management experience.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and civil/structural construction.
• Licensed General Contractor in relevant jurisdictions; willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of construction from site prep through commissioning for large-scale data center projects.
• Vendor Management: Oversee general contractors, subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure licensing, scope, schedule, and quality.
• Schedule and Budget Management: Monitor schedules and budgets; provide updates and take corrective action as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure construction work meets standards, client requirements, and codes.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage safety issues and design conflicts; implement mitigation promptly.
• Collaborate with GC leadership, PMs, MEP trades, and customer reps; attend daily coordination meetings.
• Coordinate manpower and resources; ensure access, training, and safety certifications are in place.
