Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee on-site execution of major data center projects across the United States. You will lead licensing, budgeting, scheduling, and safety compliance, coordinating with GC leadership and customer representatives to drive successful delivery.

Ideal candidates will have extensive data center construction experience, a strong grasp of MEP systems, and a willingness to travel up to 50% while remaining on-site for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of construction management experience.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and civil/structural construction.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S. and stay on-site for extended durations.
• General Contractor’s license in applicable jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction from site prep through commissioning for large-scale data center projects.
• Oversee licensing and maintain General Contractor’s license in applicable jurisdictions.
• Manage general contractors, subcontractors and vendors to ensure schedule, scope and quality.
• Monitor schedules and budgets; provide updates and take corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment deployment and commissioning milestones.
• Hold daily coordination meetings and communicate priorities and escalation items.
• Maintain productive relationships with GC leadership and customer representatives.
