Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead on-site construction of electrical and mechanical systems for new data centers. You will own scope, schedule, budget, and quality, coordinating with general contractors and internal teams to deliver complex capital projects.

On a daily basis you will manage bids, perform cost analyses, review drawings, and track metrics. You will drive resolution of field issues and stand as the owner's representative, ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives aimed at increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
