Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction PM activities for new builds and capital projects. You will own scope, quality, schedule, and budget while interfacing with general contractors and cross-functional AWS teams.

The role emphasizes constructability reviews, cost analysis, and documentation management to ensure data center resilience and on-time delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience taking design concepts through exploration to deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis for equipment failures.
• Be a leader within the group and with internal/external teams supporting the data center.
