Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to own construction scope, schedule, and budget for new builds and capital projects. You will lead interfaces with general contractors, conduct bid evaluations, and manage RFIs, change orders, and quality control across data center sites.

The role requires hands-on experience with large-scale electrical and mechanical systems, and a track record of delivering complex facilities on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, or 9 years related experience.
• 6+ years in managing complex MEP systems and large-scale power/cooling equipment.
• 4+ years managing general contractors, vendors, RFPs, change orders, and QC.
• Hands-on data center construction knowledge and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction scope, schedule, budget, and quality for data center projects.
• Interface with general contractors during bidding, execution, and closeout.
• Negotiate bids and evaluate proposals with accuracy.
• Create project scope and RFIs; manage invoices and submittals.
• Lead root-cause analysis and drive team execution across internal/external groups.
• Ensure constructability reviews and proper documentation control.
