Job summary

The Boldt Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the delivery of complex data center construction projects in the Midwest. The role partners with Superintendents and Project Managers to drive field execution, safety, and quality from mobilization to turnover.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in commercial/industrial construction, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a drive to grow into a Superintendent role on mission‑critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Four‑year bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of a high school degree with training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Five years industry experience and two years supervisory experience in construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.
• Understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise teams.
• Must have basic understanding of craft jurisdiction and working under collective bargaining agreements.
• Ability to read construction plans, layout projects from scaled plans, operate grade reading equipment (transit and laser level). Total station knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to show leadership and be calm under pressure.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily field activities, site logistics, trade partner execution, material deliveries and short‑term planning.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, safety and quality initiatives, schedule execution, inspections, material and equipment tracking.
• Support a strong culture of safety, quality and accountability.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and project managers to drive field execution from mobilization through turnover.
• Grow into a Superintendent role while delivering complex construction projects.
