Job summary

The Boldt Company is seeking a Specialty Systems Superintendent to lead field operations for large-scale data center projects with a heavy focus on BAS/BMS, EPMS, DAS, security, and related MEP interfaces. This on-site role covers the Midwest area with nationwide travel as needed.

You'll supervise teams, coordinate with craft professionals and trade partners, and deliver safe, high-quality projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 7 years industry experience and 4 years supervisory experience in construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and ability to lead large field operations on data center projects.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for large-scale data center projects with focus on BAS/BMS, EPMS, DAS, Security, Telecom, Fire Alarm interfaces.
• Coordinate interfaces with other MEP/FP teams and trade partners to deliver projects safely and on schedule.
• Demonstrate leadership of self-perform construction crews and manage site logistics.
• Lead scheduling, planning, and safety management to ensure quality and accountability.

In this position, you'll lead field operations for large-scale mission-critical projects with a heavy focus on BAS/BMS, EPMS, DAS, Security, Telecom, Fire Alarm, and the interfaces that occur with the other MEP/FP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems). You'll work alongside experienced project teams, craft professionals, and trade partners to safely deliver projects that demand precision, quality, and schedule certainty. Success in this role requires strong leadership, planning, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to coordinate multiple scopes in an ever-changing construction environment.

What You Bring

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. An equivalent combination of a high school degree with training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Seven years industry experience and four years supervisory experience in construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups is essential. Proven experience leading field operations on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, manufacturing, power, or data center construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and productivity management.
• Experience overseeing structural steel erection activities and coordinating complex trade interfaces.
• Demonstrated leadership of self-perform construction crews.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, construction planning, site logistics, and safety management.
• Ability to effectively communicate with craft professionals, project teams, owners, and trade partners.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and team development.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations nationwide.

Compensation

Target Hiring Range: $140,000 - $170,000 annually

The target hiring range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000; however, compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, geographic market conditions, internal equity, and business considerations.
