Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Community Engagement Manager in Texas to serve as the on-the-ground partner in the communities near our data centers. You will work across policy, infrastructure, and local stakeholders to build trust and surface concerns early.

You will travel up to 50% within your region, translate technical plans into local benefits, and help write scalable engagement playbooks for future markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in community affairs, public affairs, or government relations.
• Direct experience engaging with local governments on infrastructure or energy projects.
• Ability to translate complex plans into plain language for officials and communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local officials, government agencies, economic developers, and communities.
• Develop and execute a community engagement strategy for markets.
• Build coalitions, host sessions, and design local solutions delivering community benefits.
• Represent Anthropic in public forums, town halls, planning hearings, community events, and local media.
• Monitor sentiment and advise internal teams on risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Real Estate and Infrastructure to incorporate community input.
• Work with Communications to develop local messaging.
• Coordinate charitable giving and community investments.
• Explain environmental stewardship with Energy and Sustainability team.
• Create scalable community engagement playbooks.
