Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to serve as a local presence in Texas markets, interfacing with government officials, community groups, and industry partners. You will craft engagement strategies, surface concerns early, and build coalitions to advance responsible infrastructure deployment.

You will travel regularly within the region, up to 50% of the time, and collaborate with policy, infrastructure, and communications teams to integrate community input into project planning

Qualifications

• Experience leading engagement with diverse local government and community stakeholders
• Ability to translate complex policy/operational plans into plain language
• Strong written and verbal communication; credible in public settings
• Capacity to manage multiple engagements across markets and travel regularly

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with local officials, agencies, and community groups
• Develop and execute market-specific community engagement strategies from site selection through operations
• Coordinate coalitions, listening sessions, and local solutions delivering community benefits
• Represent Anthropic in public forums, hearings, events, and media
• Monitor sentiment and advise on risks, opportunities, and engagement pacing within markets
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Infrastructure, Communications to integrate community input
• Oversee charitable giving, community investment, and nonprofit partnerships in markets
• Explain environmental stewardship and power/land use plans to stakeholders
• Create scalable community engagement playbooks for future markets
