Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5+ years in public policy settings preferred.
• Strong persuasive advocacy and diplomacy before key stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with AHJs, economic development orgs, and government bodies.
• Experience in public policy/government affairs executed with senior leaders.
• Experience drafting strategic communications and supporting public relations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with government representatives, community orgs, residents, and local stakeholders about Rowan's projects.
• Track state/local legislation, regulatory proceedings, and project entitlements; advocate as needed.
• Form coalitions to support or oppose state legislation and local policy issues.
• Support drafting and managing strategic plans for political and community engagement.
• Represent Rowan at public events; communicate benefits of project investments to external stakeholders.
• Identify new site development opportunities within the local market.
• Draft communications to broaden messaging about community, economic, and environmental benefits.
• Track legislation and local policy proposals with potential business impact.
