Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Designer to develop integrated 3D site designs for data center campuses using Civil 3D. You will produce coordinated site/campus models and support the Design Engineering team in creating construction documents.

The role involves collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and travel to data center sites occasionally. The ideal candidate has extensive Civil 3D experience, Revit integration skills, and knowledge of building codes and safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 4+ years using Civil 3D for BIM content, site/campus layouts.
• Experience referencing Revit in Civil 3D to capture latest building design updates.
• Experience creating and maintaining Civil 3D parts, structures, pipes, corridors, and surfaces.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design Civil infrastructure of data center sites using Civil 3D.
• Develop detailed Civil 3D models and site layouts, coordinated with building designs.
• Publish construction documentation for Civil site and campus designs in a fast-paced environment.
• Create and maintain regional/global templates for Civil 3D workflows.
• Update and modify existing models, studies and construction documents.
• Coordinate with other trades to resolve clashes.
