Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Structural BIM Designer to contribute to data center projects. You will build and maintain BIM models in Revit, develop construction documentation, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the globe.

You will translate structural concepts into precise Revit families, details, and components, ensure code compliance, and support design coordination meetings with other trades. Travel to data center sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Structural design experience on mission critical, industrial, or complex commercial facilities.
• 4+ years of experience using Revit for producing Structural BIM models and construction drawings.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.
• Experience with AutoDesk BIM 360, Construction Cloud, and/or Forma is preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM Forum LOD Specification and Lean design principles.

Responsibilities

• Designing the Structural systems for data centers using Revit to create and maintain BIM models.
• Prepare and develop detailed Structural Revit models and construction documents.
• Create and maintain regional and global libraries—Revit Families, Details, and Detail Components.
• Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required.
• Assist in BIM templates creation and enforce BIM standards.
• Participate in design coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution.
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographic locations.
• Support information exchange in a Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Record and report key metrics to management.
• Travel to data center sites for evaluations and surveys (approx. once or twice a year).
