Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Sparks, Nevada is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to oversee electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems. You will lead maintenance, emergency response, and provide expert technical guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and vendors.

This role requires 3+ years in facilities maintenance, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will coordinate with facility managers, establish performance benchmarks, and ensure safety

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facility-related issues
• Oversee maintenance and emergency services on critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS, cooling)
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and vendors
• Create and deploy standard practices for operations teams and vendors
• Coordinate with Facility Manager to improve facility efficiency and safety
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences
