Job summary

Black Box Network Services is seeking a Network Infrastructure Technician for a Phoenix, AZ site. The role focuses on installing, testing, and certifying structured and patch cabling in a data center environment, including high-speed fiber optics and copper cabling to IEEE/BICSI standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Fluke Versiv mainframe, site MAC requests, and collaboration with facilities teams, while supporting security and project engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in working in a data center environment.
• Familiarity with high-speed fiber optic transport.
• Ability to follow cabling standards (IEEE/BICSI).
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patching cabling between network equipment and customer network.
• Install power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet.
• Install, troubleshoot and de-install network equipment.
• Perform MAC requests within service levels.
• Provide infrastructure cabling break-fix services and Layer 1 troubleshooting.
• Support carrier testing of circuits.
• Assist with facilities efforts and UPS restoral.
