Job summary

Black Box is seeking an Infrastructure Technician I to grow in data center environments, installing and maintaining structured cabling systems and supporting high-performance teams.

You will learn from senior technicians, gain hands-on experience with fiber systems, labeling, routing, and testing tools, while following safety and quality standards.

Onsite with minimal travel, you’ll contribute to reliable IT infrastructure and professional communication.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience preferred).
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days.
• FOA or BICSI certifications are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including copper, fiber, and other low voltage technologies.
• Build and remove racks, cabinets, cable trays, and pathway systems inside active data center environments.
• Interpret and follow design drawings, specifications, and manufacturer standards to ensure precise and compliant installations.
