Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Project Lead – Data Center Cabling Crew to oversee daily field operations for data center cabling installations in Lebanon, IN. You will lead cabling technicians, coordinate with customers and site management, track progress, manage materials and manpower, and serve as the primary field contact for the project team.

Responsibilities include directing daily activities, planning and prioritizing installation work, ensuring quality and safety, and mentoring crew members.

Qualifications

• Experience leading low-voltage cabling or data center installation teams.
• Strong understanding of copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of data center construction practices and customer standards.
• Proficiency with project documentation and reporting.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct daily activities of cabling technicians and subcontractors.
• Plan, coordinate, and prioritize installation activities to meet project schedules.
• Monitor quality of work and ensure adherence to project specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades to resolve field issues.
• Track labor, production, and project progress.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly utilized.
• Conduct jobsite meetings and provide daily updates to project management.
• Support and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.
• Assist with project documentation, testing, labeling, closeout, and turnover activities.
• Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and technical knowledge.
