Job summary

CBRE DirectLine, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is seeking a Lead Cable Technician to supervise installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of data center cabling. You will guide a crew of 1–5 technicians, ensure projects meet schedule, safety and quality standards, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a crew of 1–5 technicians.
• Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting network cabling in data centers.
• Ability to read blueprints and documentation and perform field terminations.
• Capable of working in data center environments with strong safety practices.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and customers.
• Knowledge of wiring schemes and labeling procedures.

• Oversee installation and decommissioning of network cabling in data center environments.
• Provide sustainable, repeatable processes and drive improvements.
• Provide progress updates to stakeholders on projects.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and data center cleanliness.
• Follow safety, codes and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and field plans; document redlines as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and track timesheets for crew.
