Job summary
TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Data Center Crew Lead to oversee structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects in a large hyperscale data center environment. You will lead installation teams, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery in Rock Hill, SC.
The role requires hands-on leadership, strong fiber optic expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications
- Lead crews of at least five technicians on data center projects.
- Experience routing, installing, and testing fiber optic cabling.
- Experience terminating fiber optic and copper cabling.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and project specs.
- Strong troubleshooting and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews on telecom and data center infrastructure projects.
- Assign tasks and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to meet milestones and budgets.
- Perform and oversee fiber optic and copper cabling installation, testing, and termination.
- Maintain as-built documentation and on-site client coordination.
- Support junior technicians and escalate issues when needed.
