Job summary

E2 Optics is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Technician to support cabling, rack builds, and terminations in challenging data center environments. The role emphasizes safety, proper labeling, and adherence to industry standards while you gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge systems.

You will work under supervision to learn fiber and copper cabling techniques, participate in basic punch-downs, and contribute to a clean, organized work site.

Qualifications

• Experience testing equipment and cabling in data-center or telecom environments.
• Building out racks and cabinets and terminating onto patch panels.
• Understanding RJ45 terminations and punch-downs.
• Comfortable with color-coded wiring and basic safety practices.
• Commitment to safety, quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and client worksite policies; maintain organized work area.
• Pull, dress, and label cabling per standards; assist in terminations.
• Begin RJ45 terminations and patch panel work with guidance from senior techs.
• Labeling and cable identification support.
• Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks.
• Support cable testing with basic tools under supervision.
• Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and handling.
• Take direction from senior technicians and supervisors.
