Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager for our DC Construction team to lead on-site management of electrical and mechanical systems for new data centers.

You will drive cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with contractors and internal teams. As owner’s representative, you’ll own project scope, budget, and timelines, conduct constructability reviews, manage documentation, and report metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience translating new designs to deployment or mass production.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS.
• Experience with power management and monitoring systems.
• Experience building electrical/mechanical systems for data centers.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
• Financial analysis of construction.
• Construction project management for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Construction document management including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
