Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. leads the design and operation of AWS data-center infrastructure, delivering safe, secure, and cost-efficient capacity. This role focuses on BIM-heavy electrical, telecom, and security systems for AWS facilities and requires strong Revit/AutoCAD experience.

As part of the MEP BIM team, you will produce detailed BIM models, maintain construction documentation, and manage multiple projects across locations, driving improvements in design and delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design/engineering experience producing construction drawings for mission-critical facilities.
• 2+ years of consistent Revit and AutoCAD experience.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical, telecom, and security systems of data centers, creating and maintaining BIM models in Revit.
• Produce detailed Revit models for components such as one-lines, switchgear, UPS, panel boards, transformers, power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm systems, and other infrastructure.
• Develop, publish, and maintain construction documentation and permit electrical engineering drawing sets for our fleet.
• Create and enforce BIM templates and standards; review consultant models for compliance with AWS EIR.
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographical locations, coordinating information exchange with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Record and report key metrics to management and propose creative solutions to improve design and delivery.
