Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Odessa, TX is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems for AWS data centers.

You will lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with SOWs and specifications. The role requires 5+ years in industrial controls, strong project management, and the ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, etc.)
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience in construction and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for construction of AWS data centers.
• Ensure data center controls are deployed per scope of work and specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on MEP drawings.
• Develop controls bill of material (BOM).
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate difficult situations.
• Work under tight project timelines.
• Financially manage both construction and service contracts.
• Provide vendor management and project leadership.
