Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is hiring an Automation and Control System Commissioning Manager to lead onsite BMS/EPMS commissioning across large data center projects in North America. You will coordinate with design, DevOps, and field teams, ensuring timelines, standards, and safety are met.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial control or building automation, with 4+ years of onsite commissioning leadership. Strong communication and travel to project sites nationwide are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial control systems or building automation
• 4+ years’ experience overseeing installation, startup and commissioning of automation and control systems
• Strong communicator with ability to work in large cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite leadership for BMS/EPMS commissioning activities with DG teams
• Lead commissioning status reviews and executive discussions with clients and general contractors
• Coordinate with DG project management, design and Dev Ops to manage scope changes and risks
• Attend daily commissioning review meetings with client, GC and commissioning agents
• Manage DG onsite commissioning staffing, scheduling and resource allocation
• Ensure safety requirements are followed during commissioning activities
• Support change order development and issue resolution as needed
• Maintain clear communication with client and contractor on project status
