Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a Controls Technician for a project-based role near Covington, GA. You will join a team of industry experts, installing and commissioning HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems in data center environments.

You will work closely with engineers and operations to ensure reliable system performance while adhering to safety standards. This role offers full-time, on-site work with potential for growth within Barry-Wehmiller’s diverse engineering

Qualifications

Associate's degree or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with control systems in data centers or similar environments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and commission control systems including HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems. Ensure proper configuration and calibration to meet requirements.
Monitor and optimize control systems for efficiency; adjust parameters and respond to alarms and issues.
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and system performance; generate related reports.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and facilities staff to coordinate activities and provide guidance as needed.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety procedures in all activities.
