Job summary

Design Group is seeking an Automation and Control System Commissioning Manager for BMS/EPMS deployment across North America’s data center projects. You will lead onsite commissioning activities, coordinate with DG design, DevOps, and site management to ensure safety, schedule, and quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in industrial control systems with 4+ years overseeing onsite commissioning, and must be comfortable with relocation or travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial control systems or building automation startup and troubleshooting.
• 4+ years overseeing installation, startup and commissioning with significant onsite time.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within large cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite main point of contact for DG BMS/EPMS commissioning activities with client, GC, and installation teams.
• Lead commissioning status reviews and executive-level discussions on schedule, risks, and resources.
• Represent Design Group at site commissioning and design reviews, change management, and scope meetings.
• Attend daily commissioning review meetings with client, GC, and commissioning agent.
• Provide management of BMS/EPMS commissioning issue resolution, assignment, and tracking.
• Manage onsite staffing plans, resource allocation, and scheduling to support project objectives.
• Collaborate with project management, design and DevOps to handle scope changes and deviations.
• Enforce safety requirements and ensure commissioning activities meet client and DG safety standards.
