Job summary

Design Group is seeking an Automation and Control System Commissioning Manager to lead onsite commissioning of BMS/EPMS across large data center projects. You will coordinate design, integration and field execution teams to meet program objectives, timelines and quality standards.

The role requires relocation or heavy travel to client sites, with most activity in TX, MO and AZ; a strong onsite presence is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial control systems or building automation.
• 4+ years’ experience overseeing installation, startup and commissioning with significant onsite time.
• Strong communicator within large teams of Design Group professionals, trades, GC and client.
• Residence near data center campus with high level of site presence expected.
• Relocation timing negotiable, dependent on location and opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite main point of contact for DG BMS/EPMS site commissioning activities with client, GC and installation management.
• Lead commissioning status reviews and executive discussions on schedule, risks, and resources.
• Represent DG at site commissioning meetings and reviews with stakeholders.
• Attend daily commissioning review meetings with client, GC and commissioning agent.
• Manage BMS/EPMS commissioning issue resolution and track status through completion.
• Support change order input as required.
• Manage onsite commissioning staffing, resource allocation and scheduling.
• Coordinate with DG project management, design and DevOps to handle scope changes.
• Promote and enforce site safety requirements for commissioning activities.
