Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a Warehouse Technician to provide and maintain material orders, customer service, and inventory management within a datacenter environment. You will handle material movement requests, load/unload freight, perform quality checks, and execute daily cycle counts for critical spare parts.

You will also process returns, install servers and components, interact with customers on site, and operate straddle stackers and pallet jacks while adhering to 5S safety

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain effective material orders, customer service, and inventory management
• Handle customer material movement requests
• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight
• Perform quality checks on freight, part numbers, quantities, and material condition
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts
• Process return shipments using multiple warehouse management systems
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks using diagrams and schematics
• Install rack hardware using hand, power, and measuring tools
• Operate straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks
• Perform cleanup activities according to safety, cleanliness, and 5S standards
• Assemble and install servers and electronic components
• Interact with customers and stakeholders on site at the datacenter

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related experience required
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Critical thinking and good analytical skills
• Experience with computers required
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols required
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must pass required federal/state/local government, airport, or company background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to be flexible and cross-train in multiple departments within the datacenter
