Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a Technical Project Manager – Data & Business Intelligence (ORCA) for a 2-year term to lead medium- to large-scale data and BI initiatives. You will partner with the Deputy Director and ORCA BI Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver multi-stakeholder projects across analytics, data integration, and reporting domains.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in data projects, with strong governance, metrics, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in project management, information technology, computer science, business administration, information systems, data analytics, or related field.
Five or more years of progressively responsible project management experience on medium to large technology projects.
Experience managing data, analytics, BI, reporting projects across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day planning and delivery of medium- to large-scale data, analytics, BI, and reporting projects.
Develop and maintain project plans with scope, milestones, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate across multiple workstreams, vendors, and stakeholder groups.
Facilitate governance, decision-making, risk management, and status reporting.
Lead requirements sessions and document functional, data, and reporting needs.
Ensure alignment with architecture, data governance, security, and integration standards.
Support UAT, testing plans, and deployment readiness.
Prepare project closeout and lessons learned.
