Job summary

MKS Instruments seeks a Senior Director, IT Data Analytics to define and execute the enterprise data strategy, enabling data-driven decision-making and growth. You will lead BI, data governance, reporting, and analytics platforms, partnering with senior leaders to turn data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in analytics, 7+ years leading teams, deep SQL and data warehousing expertise, and hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, and similar tools in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, BI, data science, or related.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing analytics or data teams.
• Proven experience developing and executing enterprise analytics strategies in a complex global organization.
• Strong ability to influence decisions through insights and collaboration.
• Advanced experience with BI and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Grafana).
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, data integration, ETL, and data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise data analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and long-term goals.
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of BI, reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics solutions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks driving performance.
• Partner with executives to leverage data for better decisions and outcomes.
• Provide strategic insights, trend analysis, and data-driven recommendations.
• Lead initiatives involving predictive analytics, ML, and AI.
• Oversee data governance, quality, management, and security.
• Collaborate on data architecture, warehousing, integration, and platform strategy.
• Drive self-service analytics adoption and data literacy across the org.
• Lead, develop, and mentor analytics and BI teams.
• Manage priorities, budgets, vendors, and project portfolios.
• Evaluate emerging analytics technologies to improve capabilities.
