Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect – Data Analytics to define and guide the enterprise data strategy centered on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will design scalable, secure data solutions enabling analytics, AI, and operational reporting.

The role requires extensive experience in cloud data platforms, Azure services, and DevOps. It is a hybrid position out of Newport News, VA with a 3/2 hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in enterprise IT operations, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture across multiple apps and tech platforms.
• IaC and configuration-management experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation; Puppet/Chef a plus.
• Proven CI/CD pipeline experience using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Cloud data solutions experience, preferably Azure, including data factory, storage, networking, IAM, Key Vault.
• Experience building enterprise data platforms with Databricks or equivalent; BI/analytics focus with Power BI.
• Knowledge of on-prem infrastructure (Windows/Linux, networking, security).
• DevOps and Agile experience; IAM automation and RBAC provisioning.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; strong analytical/problem-solving and collaborative skills.

• Drive design improvements and execution of product features for scalable data solutions.
• Guide architecture across multiple products and systems, ensuring integration requirements are met.
• Translate requirements into effective architecture designs and standards.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance in architecture and automation.
• Collaborate with business customers to translate requirements into automated solutions.
• Monitor data ecosystem health and drive continuous improvement.
