Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a summer 2027 intern to support Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) in the Washington Navy Yard.

The cohort will run for 10 weeks, 40 hours per week, with potential remote work during the school year at a reduced level of effort. Interns work under the supervision of an SPA manager and a government mentor, focusing on data analysis, software tooling, and programmatic tasks.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• On-site, 5 days/week, at a government facility in Washington Navy Yard; domestic travel as required.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or postgraduate program with at least 2 years of study completed.

Responsibilities

• Support data analysis, data pipeline engineering, and software tools.
• Carry out tasks set by a government mentor in support of the SSP branch.
• Organize and attend branch meetings; perform technical research and documentation.
• Complete a summer project and participate in SPA leadership roundtables.
