Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) invites students to join the Summer 2027 Internship in the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs.

The 10-week, 40-hour-per-week program runs May–July/August 2027 at a government facility in Washington, DC, with on-site support and occasional remote work during the school year. Interns work under SPA managers, perform administrative, organizational, and management tasks, and may transition to full-time employment upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DoD secret clearance.
• Active enrollment in an accredited program (Engineering, Analytics, Business) and at least 2 years of undergrad study.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time in Washington Navy Yard and travel domestically as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist government mentor with daily tasking in SSP branch.
• Support program management tasks: scheduling, actions tracking, budget analysis, and engineering tasks.
• Draft, review, and edit program documentation.
• Complete a summer project and participate in SPA roundtables.
