Job summary

Systems Planning & Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a summer 2027 intern to support Navy SSP within the SDP and SDG teams. The 10-week program runs May–July/August 2027, on-site at the Washington Navy Yard with potential remote hours during the school year. Interns may be considered for full-time employment after graduation.

The role involves data analysis, data pipeline work, and software tool development under a government mentor, with tasks spanning meetings, research, and project work.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Active enrollment in a CS/Data Science/Software Engineering program.
• Minimum of 2 years undergraduate experience completed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site at the Washington Navy Yard with periodic travel.

Responsibilities

• Support data analysis, data pipeline engineering, and software tools development.
• Handle technical, programmatic, and organizational tasks for the mentor.
• Organize and attend branch-related meetings and technical discussions.
• Perform technical research and document drafting/editing.
• Complete a summer project and participate in leadership roundtables.
