Systems Planning & Analysis, Inc. (SPA) invites qualified undergraduates or post-graduate students to join a 10-week summer internship supporting the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) in the Washington, DC area.

The program runs May through July or August 2027 and offers on-site work with a broader opportunity to work remotely part-time during the school year. Interns will assist with program management tasks, documentation, scheduling, budgeting actions, and a capstone summer project,

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or post-graduate program in Engineering, Systems, Analytics, or related fields.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate experience.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time at a government facility in the Washington Navy Yard and travel domestically as required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced, mission-focused work environment.

Responsabilités

• Fulfill technical, programmatic, and organizational tasking set by a government mentor for the SSP branch.
• Support day-to-day program management including schedules, actions, deliverables, budgeting actions, and engineering tasks.
• Draft, review, and edit program documentation.
• Complete a summer project.
• Attend SPA informational roundtables and leadership lunches.
