The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor is offering a Data Analytics Intern position in the Raleigh headquarters. You will gain hands‑on experience transforming raw data into actionable insights for audit and oversight activities.

You will help develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to support auditors and stakeholders in making data‑driven decisions. Ideal candidates are rising juniors, seniors or graduate students in statistics, mathematics or data analytics with a 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Rising junior, senior or graduate student majoring in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field with minimum 3.0 GPA
• Experience with Excel and Power BI (or similar data visualization tool)
• Experience with SQL and/or Python preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience on data analytics projects for audit and oversight.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI for stakeholders.
• Assist in targeted analyses to identify trends, anomalies and KPIs.
