Qualifications

• 10+ years in data analytics or data science.
• 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Hands-on with Python, DBT and Snowflake.
• Proficient in data mining, analytics, and visualization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strategic problem solver with change leadership.
• Curiosity about enterprise AI implications.
• Strong relationship-building across org levels.
• Continuous learner staying current with tech trends.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Symetra’s data and analytics strategy in collaboration with IT leaders and business partners.
• Lead cross-functional teams of data engineers, architects, developers, BI analysts, and data scientists to deliver analytics solutions.
• Drive analytics initiatives to improve efficiency, revenue, and customer experience.
• Establish KPIs, ROI metrics, and data literacy initiatives across the organization.
• Promote high-quality reporting and self-service BI across the enterprise.
• Ensure responsible data usage and privacy compliance.
