Job summary

Symetra seeks a strategic and innovative Director of Data Analytics to accelerate its journey toward becoming a truly data-driven organization. In this leadership role, you will shape the analytics strategy for the Life Division and partner with business and technology leaders to transform data into actionable insights that drive growth and improve outcomes.

You will lead end-to-end analytical projects, mentor data scientists and analysts, and maintain knowledge of industry trends, AI, and ML

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, data science, statistical modeling, or decision science.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL or comparable analytical programming languages.
• Experience leading analytical initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurement.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Translate business questions into analytical hypotheses and data-driven solutions.
• Lead end-to-end analytical projects including data sourcing, visualization and modeling.
• Communicate findings to executives, translating data into actionable recommendations.
