Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) in Prince George's County seeks a Data Analyst Manager to lead data governance, reporting, and compliance initiatives within the Division of Administration. You will translate departmental data into actionable insights, oversee audit responses, and drive Operational efficiency while ensuring regulatory alignment.

The role coordinates with multiple units to monitor program viability and performance metrics, delivering strategic guidance to leadership

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Data Science, or Business Administration.
  • Four years of experience directing quality assurance frameworks and compliance initiatives to ensure ongoing operational alignment with federal, state, and local regulatory mandates.
  • Three years of experience cleaning, validating, and managing large, complex datasets with a focus on data accuracy and integrity, including experience with state or human services data systems (such as MDThink, CJAMS, OHEP, or HMIS).
  • Three years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, performance monitoring, or program evaluation within government or public sector programs, including translating complex trends into actionable insights for non-technical leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate discussions around monitoring and audit findings, including negotiating recommendations to address issues and improve operating efficiency in line with Federal, State, County Agency, and other applicable policies.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify gaps and consult with leadership on strategies to strengthen overall departmental outcomes.

Main Purpose of Job

The Data Analyst Manager serves as a strategic leader within the Division of Administration, overseeing administrative and operational activities that support organizational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications

Selection Process

Examination Process

If your education was obtained outside the U.S., you must provide a copy of the equivalent American education determined by a foreign credential evaluation service prior to hire.
