Job summary

WEX invites motivated students to join the Data Acquisition Team as an entry point to the Data-as-a-Service platform. You will ingest, validate, and orchestrate raw data from multiple sources, across batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns, ensuring quality, performance, and governance throughout.

You’ll work on AI-enabled projects, build intelligent agents to automate workflows, and collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated programming experience including reading, writing, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting code.
• Hands-on software development through internships, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to impactful projects using AI/ML to address fraud, credit risk, and real-time decisions.
• Develop and enhance agentic AI platform for automated workflows and decision support.
• Transform and optimize core data, enabling easy access for customers and internal teams.
• Design AI-assisted workflows for scalable, model-driven solutions and declarative systems.
• Work with big data technologies for ingestion, processing, and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to brainstorm solutions and overcome challenges.
• Present research findings and project outcomes to team and stakeholders.
