Job summary

WEX, a global commerce platform, offers a 13-week paid Software Engineer Intern program across the U.S. You will work with engineers and product managers to build scalable apps, learn modern practices, and develop AI-driven features in cloud environments.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with React, C#/.NET, and SQL/NoSQL while exploring microservices, RESTful design, and AI agent frameworks. Remote, hybrid, and onsite options provide flexibility for students.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in CS, ML, or SE, with at least sophomore status before internship.
• Hands-on experience with React, C#/.NET, SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of software architecture, microservices, REST concepts.
• Interest in AI agent frameworks and LLM concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced internship.

Responsibilities

• Ship full-stack features using React and C#/.NET with basic DB interactions.
• Prototype and deploy AI agents or LLM integrations to automate workflows.
• Learn high-level architecture, microservices, APIs, and cloud data flows.
• Collaborate with mentors and apply TDD/BDD throughout the lifecycle.
