Job summary

WEX is offering a 13-week paid internship in the Data Acquisition Team, focused on ingesting and validating data across multiple domains for the DaaS platform. You’ll work on batch, streaming, and event-driven ingestion while supporting AI-enabled workflows.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and researchers, gain mentorship, and participate in weekly learning experiences designed to build confidence and leadership skills. Remote, hybrid, and onsite options available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills with at least one major language (Java, Python, C++, C#, JavaScript).
• Experience or coursework in data, AI, and scalable software development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI/ML projects addressing fraud prevention, credit risk, and real-time decisions.
• Help build and enhance the agentic AI platform to automate workflows.
• Develop data transformation tools to enable easy data access for teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to validate ideas and present results.
