Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Head of Data & AI Architecture in the United States to lead a platform-centric strategy for data, analytics, and AI at scale. You will own reference architectures, reusable patterns, and governance across data platforms and AI ecosystems.

You will mentor a high‑performing team, partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Product leadership, and drive modernization across cloud-native Data & AI services to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data and technology architecture, with 5+ years leading enterprise-scale initiatives.
• Deep expertise in cloud data platforms, data modeling, and domain-driven data products.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML and GenAI solutions at scale (MLOps, LLMOps, RAG).
• Strong governance, security, privacy, and regulatory knowledge including PCI DSS.
• Executive communication and ability to influence across matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve target-state Data & AI architecture across platforms, analytics, ML, GenAI.
• Define reference architectures, standards, and reusable design patterns enterprise-wide.
• Architect the enterprise data product model with governance and semantic layers.
• Design end-to-end AI ecosystems, including feature stores and model deployment.
• Embed security, privacy, and regulatory requirements by design.
• Lead platform strategy and guide decisions on build, buy, and partnerships.
• Mentor an architecture team and partner with Product, Engineering, and Security.
• Establish architecture governance with reviews, roadmaps, and decision frameworks.
• Drive modernization, cloud-native architectures, and cross-team alignment.
