Job summary

Pacific Life seeks a Data Lead/Architect to design and develop IT architecture aligning data governance and business needs. You will define architecture blueprints, standardize tech choices, and enable scalable data solutions across platforms.

Responsibilities include leading architecture planning, collaborating with stakeholders, and preparing data pipelines for AI/ML use cases. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT/data architecture experience.
• Proficiency with enterprise architecture frameworks, SQL, databases, data lakes/warehouses, cloud platforms, and systems integration methodologies.
• Experience with Snowflake; knowledge of Matillion and DBT is a plus.
• Strong problem solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop IT architecture to translate data governance into scalable technical solutions.
• Assess compatibility and integration of standards across platforms across multiple technologies.
• Plan technical architecture and modify specifications for hardware/software compatibility.
• Define policies and blueprints for technology solutions.
• Conceive system interfaces and resolve design weaknesses.
• Research technology trends and develop migration plans for best-fit options.
• Prepare data assets to support AI/ML use cases.
