Job summary

Scale is seeking a Data Acquisition Lead to own the commercial motion for obtaining datasets used to train AI systems. You will map supply side opportunities, design deal structures with legal, and close agreements end-to-end.

You’ll translate commercial needs to technical teams and build repeatable processes from scratch. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in business development or GTM roles, strong relationship management, and excellent strategic judgment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, corp dev, or early GTM initiatives.
• Track record building new commercial motions from scratch.
• Strong ability to manage external relationships with senior partners.
• Excellent business judgment and quick value assessment of partnerships.
• Clear communication with stakeholders across functions.
• Ability to operate independently in fast-moving, ambiguous contexts.

Responsibilities

• Map supply side by building a thesis on domains worth owning.
• Invent deal structures with Scale’s legal team and pricing concepts.
• Lead end-to-end closing from outreach to signature.
• Engage with technical teams to ensure data workflows and value.
• Develop a repeatable pipeline from initial outreach to data acquisition.
