Job summary

Scale is seeking a Data Acquisition Lead to own the end-to-end commercial motion for sourcing data, partnering with labs and external organizations. You will craft deal structures, manage strategic relationships, and drive negotiations from outreach to signature while aligning with R&D teams on data value and trainability.

You will operate in a fast-moving environment, wear multiple hats, and build a repeatable pipeline for data acquisition, with compensation details and equity considerations

Qualifications

• 5+ years across business development, corp dev, commercial strategy or GTM.
• Track record of managing external relationships.
• Clear communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently while staying connected to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Map the supply side and build a thesis on domains to own and order of pursuit.
• Invent the deal structures with Scale's legal team for pricing.
• Close deals from cold outreach to signature.
• Coordinate with the technical side and understand what makes data trainable.
• Build the process and pipeline for repeatable data transactions.
