Job summary

Equifax is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist to join our USIS Data Strategy and Execution Team. This role supports Equifax's data strategy by acting as a subject matter expert, defining target data sources for relationship building and expanding data assets.

You will manage data acquisition, data governance, and data processing while coordinating with internal partners to align data sourcing with product revenue and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of analysis, product management, and/or consulting experience regarding data.
• Experience working in a data environment or with data solutions, with high-level domain knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of consumer and commercial data usage in the marketplace and monetization methods to address business needs.
• Experience supporting the implementation of data requirements and practices for an assigned area.
• Proficiency with BI tools (Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, etc.) and desktop application suites (Microsoft or Google).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the USIS Data Strategy and Execution team to establish and execute a comprehensive data sourcing vision and strategy, maintaining a target list of data sources.
• Identify, qualify, and communicate required data capabilities to internal partners for each data category.
• Conduct research and analysis as SME to help with business cases, data research, and competitive analysis.
• Manage day-to-day activities including data acquisition, data processing, and data governance functions.
• Track dashboards to monitor macro-industry and market trends and communicate data portfolio performance to stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure data is integrated and utilized across data fabric.
• Maintain understanding of roles, operating models, and core capabilities to drive the overall data strategy.

Data Acquisition and Partnerships Analyst (Finance)

Equifax is looking for a Data Acquisition Specialist to join our USIS Data Strategy and Execution Team. This is a critical role that supports Equifax's data strategy by acting as a subject matter expert, defining target companies for relationship building, and expanding our best-in-class data assets. The role is pivotal in managing our third-party data portfolio, driving cost-effective acquisitions, and connecting data sourcing to product revenue.

What you will do:

• Reporting directly into the USIS Data Strategy and Execution team, coordinating with other team members to establish and execute a comprehensive vision and strategy to support Equifax's data lead vision by maintaining a compiled target list of emerging data sources based on capabilities.
• Identify, qualify, and communicate to internal partners about required data capabilities linked to each data category aligned to support an Equifax vertical or capability.
• Conducts research and performs analysis on potential new and existing data sources acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help with the development of business cases, data research, and competitive analysis to execute against business unit deliverables.
• Manage day to day activities including: data acquisition, data process and data governance functions.
• Track and compile dashboards to track macro-industry and market-specific trends to advise on the market needs as the subject matter expert by driving data insights to communicate data portfolio performance.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure data is integrated and utilized effectively across data fabric.
• Maintain a solid understanding of the roles, responsibilities, operating models, and core capabilities necessary to drive the overall data strategy.

What experience you need:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2-5 years of analysis, product management, and/or consulting experience regarding data, preferably within financial services.
• Experience working in a data environment or with data solutions, with high-level domain knowledge.
