Job summary

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, seeks an as-needed Dance Group Fitness Instructor for our client site in Kingsport, TN. You will lead fun, safe, and effective dance fitness classes in various formats to engage members and support their health goals.

The role is a fill-in position with hours varying by demand. Requires current national group exercise certification (ACE/AFAA/NSCA/ACSM/NETA or equivalent), CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days, and 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience preferred.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, effective, and safe dance fitness group classes in multiple formats.
• Engage and motivate members while ensuring proper form and safety.

About the role

HealthFitness is looking for an as-needed/substitute/fill-in (number of hours working depends on demand and scheduling) Dance Group Fitness Instructor to join the fitness team at our client site located in Kingsport, TN. We are open to various formats of dance classes! Responsible for providing fun, effective, and safe dance fitness group exercise to members.

Minimum Requirements

• Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Compensation

• The compensation range for this role is $18/hr.
• The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
